The calendar is beginning to look busy! Here are some upcoming wine related events in Switzerland during the month of September.

Nyon Street Food Festival from 1-3 September

Nyon will be hosting its first Street Food Festival along Lac Leman on the Quais de Rive.

For 3 days over the weekend, you’ll be able to taste gourmet foods from some of the best Food Trucks and Restaurants from the region. In addition to fine food, you’ll be able to taste local beers and wines as well! There will be DJ music entertainment during the event also. Sounds good to me!

Vinea Swiss Wine Fair in Sierre on 1&2 September

This is for the serious wine lover in the lovely Valais town of Sierre.

There will be 67 exhibitors from around Switzerland offering tastings of their wines. In addition, this event includes films related to wine and various multi-lingual workshops on Swiss wines. Not to be missed. A great opportunity to learn about Swiss wines and meet some of the top producers.

The Movenpick Wine Cellars are having their Fall Grand Wine Tasting event over the first two weekends in September. 31 Aug – 2 Sept. and 7-9 Sept.

There will be a generous variety of wines from all over the world to taste. This is a great chance to learn about the various wine regions of the world and what Movenpick has to offer. Wine tasting is free of charge. Visit the Wine Cellar near you.

Lavaux Passion 2017 in Cully on 9-10 September

Thirty wine producers from the historic and scenic Lavaux region will be offering their wines for tasting.

A great location on Lac Leman to learn about wines from the region. Includes a 40 minute boat ride!

Fête des Vendanges in Lutry on 22-24 September

Join the 71st annual Grape Harvest Festival in Lutry! 

Starting on Friday evening, September 22nd, taste wines from local producers at their caves in town and at stands throughout Lutry. This is a fun event, includes food stands and live music, parades around town. One of the oldest wine related annual events in the region. Fun for the whole family.

Fête du Raisin in Féchy on 23 September

The 20th annual Festival of the Grape will take place in the streets of Féchy-Dessous.

This is a one day event, always a fun time. The wine makers in Féchy make some very good wines. This is another fun family event.

You will be able to taste the wines of the vine growers of Féchy, and discover numerous Crafts stands of all types. The children will not be left out: they can squeeze grapes and leave with their bottle of grape juice, or have fun thanks to the many activities planned for them by members of the Aubonne Gym.

Each year the festival invites a different regions winemakers and plants their vines in the local VIneyard of the World. The municipality will be Einsiedeln, in the canton of Schwyz.
