Caves Ouvertes Vaudoises
3. June 2017 @ 10:00 - 4. June 2017 @ 18:00CHF20
Caves Ouvertes Vaudoises – 3-4 June, 10h-18h daily
Over 300 winemakers will have their cellars opened and will be offering their latest wines for tasting in the Swiss canton of Vaud over the course of the weekend!
This is a great fun event. It is an excellent way to visit and learn about the various regions and wines within Vaud.
There are six sub-regions that make up the wine growing areas of Vaud: From Bonvillars to Chablais, from La Côte to Vully, passing through Lavaux and Les Côtes de l’Orbe.
Swiss Rail is offering a 20% on train fares to attendees and there is van service to and from the major regional train stations to the neighboring wine cellars regularly throughout the event times.
For only CHF 20, it’s an inexpensive way to taste lots of great regional wines, see the majestic sites and partake in the local ambience and food as well. You get a wine tasting glass to keep and a passport to show you paid. You can use it on both days for the one price.
You can also purchase wines to take home that you particularly enjoyed.
Contact me if you’re attending and I will do my best to meet you and give a tour of some of my favorite winemakers in the region.
